Diversity Statement

Brigham Young University–Hawaii is founded, supported, and guided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The university’s mission is “to integrate both spiritual and secular learning, and to prepare students with character and integrity who can provide leadership in their families, their communities, their chosen fields, and in building the kingdom of God.” In order to effectively fulfill its educational mission, BYU–Hawaii provides its students an opportunity for spiritual and secular learning from other students with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.
