Bishop's MuseumBishop Museum Anthropology Department announces that applications are currently being accepted for a six-week-long summer internship program to be held in conjunction with the first session of the University of Hawai‘i-Mānoa’s 2013 summer academic term, which will take place between May 28 and July 5. Twenty hours of work per week will be required to complete the internship’s 120-hour requirement. Work in the archaeology lab will take place on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday over the course of the internship.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIP 

Are you ready to get your hands dirty with a start-up venture? Do you want to take a new company to the next level? At the same time, do you want to help impoverished women in a Ugandan slum rise out of poverty? If so…we want to meet you!

Our business development intern will be responsible for identifying and evaluating partnering opportunities as well as other related strategy projects for 1000 Shillings. He/she will be responsible for researching new potential partner organizations and initiating first contacts. The intern will be integral in developing strategies that will promote the products and artisan women of 1000 Shillings. Hours are flexible, and the internship will be done remotely.

1000 Shillings, is a start-up social enterprise that works with impoverished women artisans around the world, giving their products an international market, a platform for women to tell their stories and seed capital for women to start their own businesses.

SOCIAL MEDIA INTERNSHIP

We don’t want to speak for you, but this internship was probably written for you.

Our social media intern will be responsible for creating content for all our social media streams. We’re looking for a creative and witty soul to be our brand voice for 1000 Shillings. One of our primary goals as a brand is to connect consumers to the artisans through stories, photos and videos.

BYUH Graduate InternCommunications Specialist Internship with BYU - Hawaii.  Serves as the Web Marketing team leader and develops marketing collateral.  Researches and proposes new marketing communication methods and leads the development of new programs.  Works with the team to accurately report program development, perpetuity, tracking, and cost. Ensures programs and operations are managed through appropriate departments and review and evaluates program and operations.
American Society of Magazine Editors - Magazine Internship ProgramASME interns report, edit, fact-check and copy-edit for print and online publications.  ASME interns participate in a three-day orientation program and learn the fundamentals of reporting, fact checking and copy editing. Over the course of the summer, ASME interns also attend special events in New York and Washington and meet for lunch with top editors.
